Building the Tools of Social Justice

Social change does not happen without advocates, activists, and organizations working every day to create a better, more just world.

And that work is hard.

The Danu Center for Strategic Advocacy is dedicated to supporting the work of change-makers, helping professionals, and mission-based organizations to build the tools of social justice. The Danu Center works with individuals, social service organizations, legal services, government entities, and organizations advancing policy change. We can help your organization:

  • Navigate complex relationships with funders, the government, or community stakeholders;

  • Build an advocacy program;

  • Protect the privacy rights of those experiencing violence, poverty, and injustice;

  • Develop new initiatives or sharpen existing program models;

  • Research legislation and develop legislative strategy;

  • Develop the writing, negotiating, or public speaking skills of your team; and

  • Facilitate meetings or retreats.

What people are saying about us

incredibly valuable

“Alicia’s confidential coaching has been incredibly valuable to our staff, especially in building effective supervision skills.”

- Kim Gandy, Executive Director,
National Network to End Domestic Violence

Excellent Guidance

“The assistance we received from the Confidentiality Institute was invaluable. When working with clients who are navigating the most traumatic moment of their lives, we want to make sure our staff is well-equipped with the training and knowledge to understand mandatory reporting and the various confidentiality and privilege laws. Alicia was able to help us review our organisation's confidentiality policies and to offer excellent guidance on how to approach mandatory reporting and other confidentiality issues with our clients in the most professional and effective way.”

- Bridgette Harwood, Co-Executive Director,
Network for Victim Recovery DC

Tangible tools

“Sam at the Danu Center has a deep understanding of policy-making and social justice. The policy training that she provided gave our teams tangible tools to prepare for drafting legislation, negotiation, and testifying to ensure we are effective and advancing our mission.”

- Niya Kelly, State Legislative Director,
Chicago Coalition for the Homeless
